At the center of the program stands the realization of one or more corporate projects and the shaping of your own personal development. This is supported by a systematic project and competency curriculum. In addition, the curriculum covers all major topics of leadership education, eg Economics, Project Management and Entrepreneurship, Methods of Empirical Social Research, Market Analysis, Objectives and Strategy, Communication, Marketing and Sales, Management Accounts and Corporate Finance, Influencing Factors, Law, International Business Development, Leadership and Competencies.
As part of the program, you will develop solutions for entrepreneurial challenges and thus ensure immediate benefit. At the same time, working on a business project enables you to apply the learned knowledge directly to practice. This way you can prove that you are not only able to reproduce things in theory, but that you have developed competencies in business reality. It further demonstrates you being equipped for high and complex tasks. This is your chance to bring new incentives into the company and to excel through innovation. A structured project curriculum serves as scientific support for the realization of the project. It enables you to reflect at regular intervals on the progress of your own project with fellow students, lecturers and company representatives. This enables you to build up the greatest possible practical and scientific expertise in the individually selected project area.
The M.A./MBA (USA) is an interactive study format with a focus on digital collaboration. In small groups, you will study together in the 17 courses and work on your management project and personal development up to the Master’s Thesis. In addition to the small groups, individual support by the university and structural clarity are key success factors. Before starting each course, you receive full transparency about the respective contents, tasks and requirements. Students know exactly what tasks are coming and can plan how to reach their respective goals. Thus, this format of online study allows you the greatest possible flexibility in terms of time and space, while retaining the essential elements of interaction and cooperation.
We believe that actual competencies and applying learned knowledge is more important in a job than passing knowledge tests. Thus, we have geared the entire program to your competency development. This is why you will not write exams to test your knowledge during the M.A./MBA (USA) in General Management. Instead, you will develop solutions for problems and tasks in the form of Presentations, Transfer Papers (TP), Transfer Documentation Reports (TDR) and Management Project Papers (MPP) that you will use for your innovation project and your Master’s Thesis.
